If you
could jump inside one of your favourite book worlds where would you go? Who
would you meet? What would you do? If you’re like me then you probably
have more than 10 things to put on this list. But after a lot of thought
and making some tricky cuts I’ve managed to narrow it down and put together my
fictional bucket list.
1. Without hesitation it would have to be a tour of The
Hundred Acre wood with Winnie the Pooh. Then hang out with the rest of the gang
for a picnic, followed by a game or two of poohsticks and a hunt for a
heffalump.
2. I’m fascinated by dreams so to go dream catching with
the BFG is a must.
3. A day out in the wizarding world. I would check out
Hogwarts, go on a shopping spree in Diagon Alley, eat lunch in the Three
Broomsticks, play wizards chess and somehow get hold of an invisibility cloak
to have a snoop around the restricted area of the Hogwarts library.
4. Go on an adventure with the Famous Five.
5. Explore Wonderland and take a seat at the Mad Hatters
Tea Party. This is one of my favourite stories of all time, but if I was in
Alice’s shoes I think I would have approached it a bit differently. Yes,
everyone is mad but I think it would have paid to have been nicer to the
Wonderland Creatures and spent more time enjoying being there rather than
trying to get back to a life that she found dreary and uneventful. Who knows
what other secrets Wonderland had to offer? I’d love the chance to explore.
6. Explore the land of Narnia, meet the magnificent Aslan
and hear him roar, as ‘at the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more.’ I
might even give him a cuddle even though Aslan probably doesn’t do cuddles.
7. Attend Bilbo Baggins’ eleventy-first birthday party
extravaganza. Merry hobbits, tons of food, beautiful music and fireworks while
dancing the night away under the stars. What isn’t to love?
8. Take a tour of the Beast’s castle and get lost in his
amazing library. I reckon I could spend years in this vast room and still never
read all the books in there.
9. Visit the Enchanted Wood and go up the Faraway Tree to
explore the amazing lands at the top of the tree with Moon Face.
10.
Ok yes it’s
another Harry Potter related one but…receive my Hogwarts letter and study in
this amazing school, even just for term. I mean come on it’s never too late to
study magic and learn how to play Quidditch, (ideally as a Chaser).
So
these are just a few of mine but I know I could keep on adding to this list.
What would be on you fictional bucket list?
